The yellow floating note explains how the data are organized for this type of data table, the goals of the specific analysis, a short set of instructions, and a link to a longer, more-detailed guide.įollow the Analysis instructions, and you will create a results sheet that you can explore. You will get a Prism file, complete with data, a matching graph, and instructions. Select the sample data for the analysis you want to explore, and then click the Create button at the bottom of the Prism Welcome dialog. Each Prism sample data set is a real Prism file, complete with data appropriate for the analysis or curve fit you want to perform, along with step-by-step instructions to guide you. However, instead of starting with an empty data table, choose from one of Prism's sample data sets. To begin, from the Prism Welcome dialog, select the basic data table type you would like to make - XY, Column, Grouped, Contingency, Survival, Parts of whole, Multiple variables, or Nested. We call these sample data sets, but they are really more like guided examples - with sample data, instructions, and links to the Prism Help system. If you have Prism, one of the best ways to learn how to use it is to use the sample data sets that are built into Prism.
